Speaker 2:Welcome to The Wellness Blueprint with Tim and Kristy.
Speaker 1:Hi.
Speaker 2:Hey, we've been a little silent on Henry here.
Speaker 1:Oh, yes.
Speaker 2:Henry's got so many things going on. I mean, you know, Wednesdays are big days here for Henry. Yep. He's excited about Wednesdays.
Speaker 1:Our staff has their own Henry t shirts.
Speaker 2:He wanted it. We got it now.
Speaker 1:Our patients love it. They absolutely love it.
Speaker 2:He wanted hats. We got hats. So we got hats. We're gonna have to wear a hat maybe on the next Yeah.
Speaker 1:Maybe we will. He will love that.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:So, okay, so tonight we're going to be talking about nutrition to boost up your immune system during flu season, which is here, it's starting.
Speaker 2:Yeah, is. And here's my philosophy. There's three things you need to be healthy: water, oxygen, nutrition. What are they? Water, oxygen, nutrition.
Speaker 2:And so no one disagrees on that. If you don't get enough water, you're not going be as healthy if you don't get the right kind of nutrition. So our philosophy is that we're not trying to treat the flu.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:We're trying to treat the body that has the flu.
Speaker 1:Or prevent.
Speaker 2:Or prevent. And you have to have good fuel in the body to do that. Yeah. What is this one?
Speaker 1:This is my favorite, the Vitamin C gummies. I eat two of these every day.
Speaker 2:I call that my dessert. I take all my nutrition, and then I'm
Speaker 1:gonna It tastes good.
Speaker 2:I'm gonna oops. I got two. I got a
Speaker 1:bone. I got a bone. Two. You owe me two. Kids love these.
Speaker 2:I call that my dessert because it's a gummy. And so after I take my nutrition every day, I always take a gummy. It's got
Speaker 1:It does have organic cane sugar on the outside.
Speaker 2:That's why I
Speaker 1:call my dessert. Good. But, yes, kids love this. They usually don't have any trouble taking these. They're really good, good source of vitamin C.
Speaker 1:It's my favorite because they taste good.
Speaker 2:Now in our office, we use a lot of formulas that say cataplexed. So a patient will come back in and they'll go, Hey, I want to pick up some more of that nutrition. Well, what is it? Cataplexed. I'm like, Okay.
Speaker 2:So we got cataplexed A, we got cataplexed B, we got cataplexed C. It just means food form. I don't know why they called it that, but anyway, that's what it is. So cataplex ACP is one that I keep around the house because it's so versatile. And so it obviously has food forms of vitamin A, vitamin C, and there's a little known factor called the P factor, which is part of the vitamin C complex.
Speaker 2:Because in a lot of C complex or C formulas, it doesn't have all the components that you get in nature. This has this. And so when you're taking Cataplex ACP, you're helping to support healthy cells and tissues and so we use this for a lot of things, especially during the flu season. You want to tell them about Acetyl? Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yes. This actually tastes good too. It tastes like sugar. Put it underneath your tongue, it dissolves, and it helps. I have used this.
Speaker 1:Okay. So I don't know if you remember when you and I and our office manager at the time went to a seminar Mhmm. In Atlanta. K. And I got off the plane so sick, which I never it never bothers me, but I was dizzy.
Speaker 1:I was nauseated. And you're like, here, take some Ocillo, which, you know, is good when you first feel this this the signs of, like, scratchy throat or you kinda get you know, coughing a little bit. This will head the symptoms off. But you had some of it it comes in, a little tube with pellets Right. In it.
Speaker 1:And you had some of this in your bag, and I was sick. When I say I was sick, is it all? Do you remember that? And you're like, here. Put this under your tongue.
Speaker 1:I'm like, this is not gonna help. And so I put it under my tongue. My nausea completely went away, like, quickly.
Speaker 2:I use it for nausea all Yes. The Now, how much I have faith in Ocillo is that I take it on every trip. It's in my pickleball bag. It's by my nightstand. In my nightstand drawer.
Speaker 1:I have it at home too. It's in my cabinet. If someone in my family says, Oh, my throat's getting really scratchy. I'm like, Here, take some Ocillo. Because a lot of the times, if you will catch it, it will head stuff off.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:You know, so you got to catch it in time though, but it does help with symptoms once you have the flu. It does help calm down the symptoms some.
Speaker 2:Yes, it does. One of my all time favorites throughout the whole year, but especially during cold and flu season, is called ImmuPlex. So it's an immune booster or supports the immune system. Now, there's three components that standard process tries to target. It's nutrition for the thymus gland, it's nutrition for the liver, and it's nutrition for the spleen.
Speaker 2:So you kind of get this health triad that it helps to support. This is one formula that you want to have on hand because it's so versatile at helping with the immune system.
Speaker 1:I take this a lot during the flu season. So this and con I do Contaplex some too.
Speaker 2:Contaplex is another great one. So there you have it.
Speaker 1:Yeah. And hey, you guys, I know a lot of people are going to more supplements trying to, you know, better their health, boost their immune system. If you really don't know what to take, we have a great clinical nutrition guide that you can purchase. It's not expensive. It's 29.99 for 200 and something pages.
Speaker 1:When you order it, you get the herbal nutrition guide for free, which is 200 more pages. And it is a great reference because don't go by what a friend of a friend of a friend tells you.
Speaker 2:This is clinical nutrition.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:So When you've been in practice as long as we have and you have some particular go tos, they're things that are tried and tested. It's not just some hearsay that you Google.
Speaker 1:Right. And, you know, if you don't want to get the nutrition guide and you're like, Hey, I'm interested in these supplements he's talking about, we have a site that you can go to because you have to have you can't just buy a lot of these off the web. Speaker 2:Yeah, is.
Speaker 1:So already several cases.
Speaker 2:Medical doctor friend of mine says it's all hitting all the different viruses and COVID and whatnot.
Speaker 1:Boost your kid's immune system up as much as you can. Vitamin C is great for that. They love those too. So, all right. Have a great night.
Speaker 1:Thanks for listening.
Speaker 2:See you.
